Chairman’s Brief
Our Kirkpatrick girls have forged ahead during Term 3 – despite the challenges we all face these days. Meantime the Board has been busy minding the trust funds, building a website and fostering the relationship with the team at Nelson College for Girls and CJ House. It is all steady as she goes.
September is the time we start looking to hand out scholarships for 2023. If you know of any suitable girls who fit the hardship criteria, please get in touch with our Secretary, Ali Wood ([email protected])
Start and end of term we have coffee meets, at a lovely cafe in Nelson City. This is a time to meet the Board, have a chat and chill out in the famous Nelson sunshine.
The year so far has presented interesting, challenges – Covid restrictions, floods and massive roadworks outside NCG. We finished Term 3 with a celebration of Samuel Kirkpatrick’s 169th birthday. Sam himself would have enjoyed the party – out having lunch and an adventure at the Cable Bay Adventure Park. The singing of “Happy Birthday” was the stand-out effort of the day.
